What you have in there can easily be used with the regular speed, so long as you don’t overload it. Overall though, you should have went with a model that had a water level knob.

And how much did you spend for this piece of crap made by Whirlpool? Yeah, Whirlpool. Clothes aren’t moving, gettin’ torn to shreds at the bottom, incorrect water level Arc isn’t wide enough .Pffft please. A 1972 model works better than this.

Nice. I would recommend adding a main cut off and a bypass even though the softener has it already. The by bypass would allow you to work on the softener and softener bypass valve without interrupting the supply to the house. Wife may get made if you work on it an have complications and need more parts but the store is closed. Just remember $20 in copper will keep everyone happy because if your wife isn’t happy no one else is happy

the clothes only really move when you have it on Heavy Duty or Super Wash.. the agitator moves with much more action.. overall can be rough on your clothes.. best way to use these machines is not to overload them.. if you do it will shred your clothes it washes best with a medium load…!!

The drain is wrong, With it having the discharge from the softener put into the drain with out a physical air separation . You risk the chance if the sewer backs up and you get sewage in your water system. Not only can you contaminate your house but you can contaminate the entire city. Which will be a huge law suit.

I have a Whirlpool WHES30 softener that we just had a plumber install for us spring of 2010. Its been running great until last week. It was low on salt(below level 1) and I noticed the tank was 1/2 full of water. Normally, the water is only 2-3 inches in the bottom. But this was more like nearly 2 feet. I cleaned and checked the venturi, nozzle and the little hose attached to it and they were fine. I ran a regeneration twice..but it only keeps refilling with water. What now????

I did lid switch bypass, easy, UNPLUG, then you can feel the switch on the left rear underside of the top of the machine, I yanked out, cut wires and wire nutted em together… works ok now.
